The Summer Classic is back for another event and this time we are at the Mineapolis Convention Center! This time we are giving up to $15k worth of cash and prizes away with first place taking home a Timetwister! Entry will be $120, $20 will go to the convention center and $100 will go to prize support and judges. We will have local artists and vendors for this convention! There wil be a self check-in from the app along with self-reporting. We are anticipating this to be a diamond event for the invitaional and if we can get enough people might be able to have the top 4 get an automatic qalification for the invitational. We will have 6 rounds of swiss on day one with a cut of top 100 player will be invited back for day 2. There will be 2 more rounds of swiss and then a cut to top 16. Refunds will be avaible until 48hrs from the decklist submision deadline. This event will be live streamed on Twitch @Northstarcedh. Entry will be $120 There will be 8 rounds of swiss. Each round will be be 80 minutes in length. After time in round is called active player will finish their turn and if there is no winner by 20 minutues the game will result in a draw. Wins are worth 5 points Draws are worth 1 point. We will be taking the top 100 players for day 2 for 2 more rounds of swiss then a cut to top16. This tournament will utilize the Competitive MTR/IPG Addendum created by Eminence and will be held to Comp REL standards. This tournament will utilize Command Tower for the pairing software and determining turn order. Byes that are awarded due to awkward pairings will be considered a win and worth 5 points. Prizing: 1st - Time Twister 2nd - 4th Equal Cash 5th - 16th Equal Cash 17th - 50th Equal Cash The more people that sign up the more money we give out! Proxies: Proxies must be indistinguishable from the other cards as parts of your library while sleeved. (Ideally you should not be able to tell by the sleeve openings or thickness which cards are proxies and which are not). There are 5 colors to the MTG color wheel plus colorless artifacts and lands as well as multi-colored cards. The Proxy prints you choose to use must reflect these differences in color. (IE no blue lightning bolts, or black and white multi-colored cards). All proxies must contain appropriate text, names, card types, mana cost, colors, power and toughness, loyalty, etc. It must be readily apparent what these proxies represent, so our boardstates are not misrepresented or lost to confusion. Proxies must be legible prints. Please no hand-written proxies in your decks. Everyone must be able to readily recognize the cards for what they represent and read the words on them.
